Mat Fox and Ian Thomas are a couple of cultural sponges. They’ve spent their careers with their ears to the ground and their eyes on the prize. Together, they are two world-wise creatives who keep getting up off the canvas like a pair of punch-drunk boxers.
Between them, they’ve gained more experience than four digital start-ups and have passed through hallowed agencies such as AMV, BBH, Mother, Ogilvy, Fallon, TBWA, JWT, Publicis, Wunderman Thompson and AKQA. Great places, full of very clever people.
Mat is the copywriter. Ian is the art director. A classic arrangement that the advertising industry has stubbornly refused to improve upon.
They’re both award-winning, reasonably house-trained and unusually fond of people and animals. That means they can talk to board members, junior creatives and small children with roughly the same level of enthusiasm. Possibly more for the small children.
They’ve worked across just about everything. Film, social, digital, posters, platforms, music promos and film soundtracks and many new media thoughts that crop up halfway through pitches.
They believe no project is too small and no retainer is too large. Good ideas are priceless after all.
Clients tend to find them collaborative, energetic and extremely cheerful for men who have survived this long in advertising.
Bless them both and you for reading this
